Maple Inc., Saitama. She teaches Japanese professionals and Japanese children, plans monthly lessons, and adapts instruction to different ages and levels. April 2026 — present.
Mayesha is interested in the relationship between people and the systems they depend on. Her work asks what makes a tool understandable, what makes guidance trustworthy, and what happens when automated support is helpful in one situation but confusing in another.
That question runs through her product work, user studies, community leadership, and research. Not all of this is a formal academic study. Some of it is building. Some of it is paying attention.

Mayesha founded a community so women could share educational, professional, and leadership opportunities. It is currently paused. She may return to it later.
2020–21
She searched, compared, and applied on her own after finding the agency model confusing and extractive.
2022
She moved to Tokyo International University to study Digital Business and Innovation.

She started a mentorship platform so students could talk to people who had already walked the path.

She founded campus communities, worked in an NLP research lab, and began publishing.

She became co-founder of The Abroad Company in October 2025 and now leads an 11-person remote team across Japan, the United States, Canada, Bangladesh, and Italy.

During university she travelled with her partner through Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and India — planned routes, public transport, as much ground as a break would allow.
